How do I enlarge the size of an angled block arrow without changing the size
of the arrow head pointer

Wheh you click on the you should have 6 white editing points, one green, and
one yellow. The yellow one allows you to scale the pointer.

You might want to reduce the End Size under the arrows option (double click
on the arrow to bring up the properties), to reduce the size of the arrow
head after you enlarge your arrow.
