win me upgrade to xp professional + sp1, my modem needs
additional files how do I get these have´nt got a clue
ambient data fax voice , mother board advance 10b, via
chipset vt82c586, modem plugged into pci 3, I need exact
instructions as i am a novice can anyone help me

Well, it would have been helpful had you written something more
informative than that your modem "needs additional files," as it is
rather difficult to know what files those might be, unless you were
willing to share that information with us.

Therefore, going on the assumption that what you need is new drivers, go
to Google or a similar search engine, type in "Ambient modem driver,"
follow one or more of the links there to such files.

You should be able to find a new driver at http://www.driverguide.com
Sign in as drivers, password all.
