modem says that it is insatlled improperly and to uninsatll the modem
drivers using control panel add and remove and to install agin . now do i
need the disc agin to install it or just press insatll cause i dont kopw
where my disc is . would it work that way

What is the name and model of the modem?

If Windows doesn't automatically recognise new hardware you need to install
from the CD. Alternatively, if you have access to the Internet (?a friend)
you could download the driver and burn it onto a CD. This has the advantage
of installing only the necessary driver and not all the other (unnecessary)
software that is automatically installed from the CD.
