I installed a modem in WinXP (DELL notebook), everything
looks good from Device Manager (No resources conflict. It
says this device work properly.) However, I cannot use my
modem to connect to internet. When I run "Query Modem" in
Device Manager, it tell me "can not open port" and the
log file shows "Open modem device failed error 000005aa"
(something like that. I cannot remember exact words. The
error number is the one though.)
Another thing, I cannot find the PORT list in Device
Manager.
