Modem problem

Is there any way I can switch on tone dialling with XP?

Some of my ISP's have installed with tone dialling and others rattle away,
taking ages, doing whatever the other kind of dialling is.I've gone through
the Phone and Modem Options but I don't see a setting.

Something to try...
Under Control Panel|PHONE & MODEM|PROPERTIES|ADVANCED tab, type...

Click on OK to exit

Sorry, that stopped it working entirely!

I've sorted it - you use Dialling Rules from the Network
Connections/Properties, in case anyone else wants to know.
