Modem on Hold

I picked up my system from the shop after some up grades but the modem on hold option is not woking, I had enabeled this sometime ago but don't remember how I did it, how do I enable this again

Open the control panel, phone & modem options folder, modem tab, properties, advanced
tab, change default settings preferences button.
I hope this is what you mean by "modem on hold".
