Modem Issues

I'm not sure if the game area is the right place for this
question, but here goes.

When ever I'm online, I get messages from my modem saying
there is an incoming call and if I am playing EverQuest I
get booted off of the EQ server. But I don't have call
waiting, so there can't be an incoming call!

Is there a way to set my modem so that it won't send me
these messages?
