modem driver for needed

Can any body help I need the correct modem driver for a
compaq presario laptop model # 80XL550. I had millenium
windows and upgraded to xp. Tryied just about everything
and can not get the modem to work.
I believe I do not have the correct driver. In the
alternative does any one know the site to microsoft xp
support?
