Hi all,

when using MM1 (XP Home Edition) I could import MPEG2 Videos (created by
DVD2SVCD).
After updateing tp Media Player 9 and Movie Maker 2, within mm2 MPEG2 files
are only handled as audio. Media Player can still read and show them.

What can I do to enable reading MPEG2 in mm2? If this is not possible, how
can I downgrade to mm1 (there is no uninstall option!)

Thanks for answering!

It's all about codecs. See the Problem Solving.. Go Back to MM1 page of my
website and run MM1 and MM2 in parallel.

I often use MM1 when it does something that I can't do with MM2.

I reinstalled mm1 as you told me.
No I can see my mpeg2 files within mm preview, but when I want ti add them
to the storyboard, thea re handled as audio files.

What can I do?

So somehow you've lost the use of your MPEG2 codec with Movie Maker 1.

As MM2 and Microsoft don't provide MPEG2 codecs, and MM1 worked for you
before with DVD2SVCD created files, maybe reinstalling that software will
re-register the needed codec. Otherwise you'll have to get and install an
MPEG2 codec that works for you.
