I upgraded from me to xp pro and now I can't find the
microsoft word or excell program. How do I find it or do
I need to download something else? Thanks for an
anticipated answer.

If you already had Microsoft Word and Excel installed on
your Windows Me system then they should still be there
now you have upgraded. If, on the other hand, you have
never had these applications installed on your Me system
then, i'm afraid they don't come with XP. They are
seperate applications and need to be purchased as such.
To check whether they are on your system open Windows
explorer and click the Search button. First search for
Winword.exe and then search for Excel.exe. Search from
your C: drive. If you can locate them then right click on
Winword.exe and then select creat shortcut from the drop
down menu. Once you have a shortcut copy it to the
desktop. Do exactly the same with Excel.exe.

Hope this helps

These products are not part of the Windows Operating System. They would have
been installed by the original re-seller or someone else after purchase of the
computer.

If you don't have the original MS Office CD you must make a trip to the
software store.

Check out Ebay for a deal on Ofice 97 or 2000. If you go this route, make
sure there is a licence for the product.

If you wish to purchase the newest Office 2002 go here for details.

http://www.microsoft.com/office/programs/default.asp to see the Office
products and how to purchase.
