missing threads

hi all,
this is a general question about this Newsgroup. I have tried to find some
'old' threads that I read and printed in June/July. Now I would like to
access to these threads and I can not find them into the 36 pages of
questions.
Is there any policy to clean periodically old or less interesting threads?
If not, where can I find them?
