missing status bar at bottom of browser

I just switched over to IE6 Windows XP and I am missing the bar on the
bottom of the browser that gives information about URL's. I liked this
because I could mouse over a link and the bar would tell me where the
link was pointed and I could avoid going to certain sites. Any idea if
this is an option that can be turned on?

Click View | Status Bar.
