Hi,
Strange question. I'm using Windows XP Pro, on a network.
Occasionally I'll come in the am and find that icons are missing or
completely rearranged on the screen. On the same day I'll also open outlook
only to find that it thinks its the first time I am using it and it wants to
configure it all over again. Thirdly, a small thing but again on the same
day my wallpaper will be completely pixalated and no longer a clear pic.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
THANK YOU!!

It almost sounds like you have multiple issues going on. Is there any chance
that someone is using your PC without your knowledge?

For the shuffled icons-make sure you are logging into the domain and not the
local machine. Since they are different profiles (even though they may be
named the same) it will show up as a different desktop and Outlook will act
like it's never been opened before.

The issue with the desktop wallpaper sounds like you are starting in VGA
mode. You might try updating the drivers for the video card and see if that
helps.

Good Luck!

Sounds like a Profile issue. Do you use roaming profiles?
Do you remote into your desktop from home or outside the office?
Does anyone else log in to your computer?

My best guess without knowing the answers to these is that your profile kept

Thanks for the reply Mike, I have suspicions about my computer being gone
into but nothing solid. I'm not sure what you mean about logging into the
domain and not local machine. When I log off and go back on in the am
there's just the one log on screen after doing the ctrl alt del. I ck'd on
the wallpaper, I'm not in VGA mode

Hi
No, don't remote into the desktop. I could see how the profile would affect
the icons and wallpaper how would that affect the Outlook reconfiguring
itself each time

I have seen this if Outlook was installled under a different profile and or
ghosted on. It would reconfigure until you put the disk in and fixed it. But
you should only have to do that once. Of course if your MS application data
is messed up on your server profile and it is relaying back when you log on I
suppose it could happed, though I have not seen this.
CT
I would clean my local profile and my server profile (If not just delete it
and let it rewrite itself from your local profile when you log off. _ But
know what you are doing before you go deleting things
