Missing quick launch

A friend of mine has lost her quick launch toolbar. Having set her
shortcuts, when she reboots they have all gone. I suggested she check that
the Quick Launch folder exists and seems it's okay.

Can anyone suggest anything else?

Did you just want to put it back in the task bar on the bottom right on your screen. If thats the case go to
:START...CONTROL...APPEARANCE AND THEME...TASKBAR/START MENU....
here make sure the task bar is not locked that way you can drag and drop any programs you want in there.
and check SHOW QUICK LAUNCH ...this will put the icons on the task bar for you and all you do is drag the programs you want into there to open when needed.
CLICK APPLY...OK...

All this has been okayed. It's one of those problems there seems to be no

I'm sorry for the repeat replies...the screen tells me the reply didn't go through and I retype it and then I see it does! Ugh!
I just had one of those mysterious problems on my computer, for three weeks something didn't work, I come up here just now...and it does..I'm not even going to try and figure it out.
