Jim

I recently had to have the hard drive replaces in my
computer. I am running Windows XP. A computer store
replaced my hard drive and told me to use the Quick
Restore cd's to reset the factory settings. I did this
but I am missing several items such as MS Works, Word.
When I originall purchased my system XP and Home Suite
was installed but these do not seem to be working
correctly. ? Suggestions?

Thanks

Do you still have your old hard-drive?If so does it
still have your operating system on it,with MS Works,
Word on it.If so you should do a drive to drive copy
making it bootable. Not as hard as it sounds, should of put
the drive in yourself.Best-Buy try's to scare you so they
can charge you $50 to put it in,then they tell you to run
your setup,ha you coulda done this yourself,They
should've done the drive 2 drive, that way all your system
programs would be there for you.Since you ran the Quick
restore, doubt if there on that hard drive,if there
preloaded on your other drive you'll have to copy it
(format the new then copy old to it).It should've been
loaded at the computer store that did the work.If you
still have your old drive post back,I can step by step
you through it.If not you should start looking for the
works CD or call the manufacturer of your computer to see
if you can get it from them.
