I have a PST file that shows up in my folder list and I can't open it, I
can't delete it and I am becoming very annoyed at its persistent existence.
I have tryed running the Inbox Repair Tool on it and I still can't do
anything with it. Has anyone ever seen this problem and have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Does it the pst-file it points to still exist? Can you remove it through
File-> Data File Management?

If not you've somehow corrupted your profile and you'll need to create a new
profile (do not copy it);
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

To access your current pst-file in the new profile;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

To set it as the default delivery location;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts...-> button Next-> use the dropdownlist below

Tips of the month:
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data
-Creating a Permanent New Mail Desktop Alert in Outlook 2003

Thanks for the suggestion Robert. Does this mean I will have to reconfigure
my e-mail accounts in the new profile?

Yes, but you can point your new profile at your existing PST(s).
