Hi,
I had the lovesan virus and did a format of my hard
drive and then tried to re-install windows XP. WHen I

repair and get a message that i need to install the
ntdetect and ntldr and hal.dll files, Please give me the
exact command to do this. My drive for CDRom is G:
Please let me know if there is another way to get
around the missing operating system problem, so I can re-
install. I have hooked up another hard drive and copied
the files but cant install them so they work. When i do a
dir check it shows the files in the C: Drive.
Thank You In Advance, Softy

Hello,

Try this. Boot from the CD and when your are first prompted to repair or
install, choose install. After that, you will soon see the license
agreement screen. After the license agreement, you will be prompted again
to repair or install. At this screen, choose Repair and this will take you
to a repair installation routine.
