The system will not boot. It is giving a missing operating
system error message. I used fixboot and fixmbr in the
repair service of the XP cd. The drive has two partitions
a 20GB NTFS, which I can access, and a 60GB ext dos
partition where the data is located that I cannot access.
How can I access the user data? I tried connecting the HD
to another computer and the ext dos, which is listed as
drive c, is blank; however, using a disk utility (Seagate,
WD or FDisk) you can see the partition and the size.
Question can the ext dos be converted to NTFS using a
command line utility without damaging the data?
