whenever I restart my computer, the icons in the tray
(volume etc) vanish. All I get is the clock and Norton
antivirus. Safe remove, i-touch, vo;ume, network
connections etc all disappear. The only way I can restore
them is to use system restore, back to a time when I know
they were there. Sadly this also restores files and
folders etc and all the work I have put in organising them
reverts to a past time. So, every time i shut down, i have
to create a restore point to come back to when i start up
again. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my machine?
It has been doing this for about 6 months. I dont want to
go for a full reinstallion of XP Pro because no one on any
other board can tell me how to protect or save playlists
for WMP9, of which I have many.
