At startup a popup window displays a message related to my Linksys wireless
router that says something very much like "missing file. Missing
notification.dll the program will not work correctly"

I have talked to Linksys and they told me to reload firmware No effect. I've
triuied Microsoft but they never heard of this?? There are numerous hits when
searching under the name but all are come-ons for pay services. I have seen
this on other forums but never an answer of how to fix it. Usually no answere
at all. I really7 don't know if the router is working correctly.
Notification.dll is not anywhere on my system.

Does anyone know, I mean REALLY KNOW!! either how to correct this or what to
do about it?

Thanks,

The articles I found suggested the file needed to be registered. Here's
how you would do that:

- Locate the file so you know the path to the file.

- Click Start, Run, type:

REGSVR32 <path to the file>\notification.dll (Press Enter key.)

So it might look like this:

REGSVR32 C:\Windows\notification.dll (Enter key)

Let us know if that helps.
