WinXPPro (corp) w/ sp1. No viruses detected. Had to recently go to a dialup. Was using 802.11g off of a broadband connect. After installing latest security patches and upgrades in anticipation of dialup, I installed my modem and loaded drivers. Diag. showed proper workings. could not connect. Modem will dial but never connect. went to Device manager and found no "network adapters" entry. It's completely missing. So I can't add a dialup adapter to properties. How do I install network adapters back to my device manager?
