I have lost all my files in my documents. Can I recover them and how ?

Depends on what you mean by "lost all my files".. Some details on their
disappearance would be useful.

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
All the folder s created under my documents have gone into cyber space or some where . I did a file search and the system said they do not exist . Basicaly when I logged back into the system they were gone.

Have you looked in the C:\Documents and Settings\ directory to confirm you
are logging in as the same user as before?
Any messages last time you logged in?
Any other differences (background image, desktop layout, etc?)
What did you do before you rebooted?
Have you looked in your Recycle Bin?

d)chekd recyle first
However my daughter tells me she tried to load software for mobile phone
camer a (lg ) But it wouild not work but according to directions it was XP
compatible.
she tells me all she did was take out the CD and log out normally. I don't
know if this helps but I cant think of any thing else that happend

Get them off your backup cd you of course create on a regular basis
since your files are important to you.
