This morning, when I ran NU's Win Doctor because it
showed an error, I got the following message:
Missing file: "C:\Program Files\Common
Files\InstallShield\Professional\Run Time\09\01\Intel 32
\DotNetInstaller.exe
C:\Program Files\Common
Files\InstallShield\Professional\Run Time\09\01\Intel 32
\DotNetInstaller.exe cannot access a necessary
file, "mscoree.dll".
What's the easiest/safest way to repair the problem?

The missing "mscore.dll" file is not missing. Nor is there a problem
with Windows XP or Norton's Win Doctor. All you have to do is go
to Windows Update and download the update called ".NET Framework".
Once you have restarted your computer, check for Windows problems
using the Norton Win Doctor and it should be fixed.

Did you do a search to see if it was just located elsewhere? There is
usually backups in other files. Make sure when you do the search you click
the "Show hidden files" in the Folder Options, View tab. Then copy file over
to correct path. Do you have your install CD? Should also be there.

Good Luck
