Hi All,

It seems that I'm encountering the same problem as some of you here. Have
already performed the following:-

1) uncheck the "show connection icon in taskbar" and rebooted PC, then check
and reboot, still no go.

2) Tried to remove the device and reboot to re-install Network card, also no
go.

3) Even tried to re-apply Service pack, still does not show icon even though
settings is checked.

Any one has any idea what is going on??!?! :-) Appreciate any feedbacks.
Thanks.

Regards,
Keith.

Keith,

There is a box in the network connection properties that says something like
"show icon when connected"

right click on my network places and hit properties
right click on the local area connection and hit properites

at the bottom of the new window there will be two boxes to check. the first
one is to show the icon on the taskbar when there is a connection and the
other one to show a message when the connection is slow or limited.

hope this helps,
RT

Hi Rafael T,

Thanks for the reply, but I've done that many times, still cannot get the
icon to appear. :-(

Regards,
Keith.

right click in the bottom right of the task bar, choose customize
notifications, find that icon and choose always show.

peace :-)

Hi,

I checked already, the icon is not listed under Current or Past items. It's
not in the list at all.

Regards,
Keith.
