Have 2 clients, both running Vista and using built in mail program. Both are
experiencing days at a time when they are not receiving mail although they
know emails are being sent.

In addition they receive "phantom messages", which seem to be received in
normal way but have no information in header except date and time received.
Upon opening message there are no details except date and time, which is in
real time in sync with pc.

Service provider is convinced they do not have problem on their system ?

Anyone any ideas or had similar experience.

By default, only the first machine that tries to download the mail after
it reaches the server will get a copy. Is this what you want?

What if any antivirus programs, antispyware programs, firewall programs,
and other security programs do you have? Some of them cause assorted
problems in Windows Mail.

Also, if you have the Google Toolbar program installed, uninstall it. It
also causes such problems.

There's another program with SMS in its name that causes such problems,
but if you have one, tell us its full name before you decide what to do with
it.
