My image is missing the hibernate tab in power options properties and
it is missing the hibernate option in the power buttons list.

I have checked the "enable hibernattion support" in the ACPI PC
settings and I have included the power meter control panel.
Hibernate does work fine on this hardware with XP Pro.

Any ideas?

Do you have "Disk Dump Drivers" component included?

Also, test it with a command like "\windows\fba\fba.exe -hibernate".

KM,

Yes, I have installed the "disk dump drivers". I have not been able to
come up with any other components I should load. I have searched the
messages several times, which typically means I have run into something
a little unique, just my luck.

Nightman,

I had not yet loaded the video drivers. Tried this morning, no change.
What is the relationship between the video driver and hibernation? I
ask because the driver is a Via Twister which fails to load completely.
I do not have any errors or warnings in Device Manager after loading
the driver, but I also do not have any Display Adapters listed. Before
loading the video driver I did get a yellow ! warning for unknown
device.

For Hibernation to be enabled and work all drivers must be working especially GART and video driver.

Regards,
Slobodan
