Michael

I have a strange one. I have 2 twenty gig drives on a
WIN2K back up server. The second drive is in the BIOS but
it does not show up anywhere except on the device
manager. If I go to Manage under My Computer, I have the
primary drive and floppy and CD but not the 2nd hard drive.
Anyone have any idea's?

IDE, No mirror or array. I have never seen anything like
this. When I first put the drive in and ran FDISK it
assign the drive letter with no problems. Just doesnt
show up in the operating system other then in device MGR.

Are there jumpers on the drives that may be set
incorrectly? Have you rescanned in disk management?

In "storage information" in the MMC you should be able
to "scan for hardware changes" and have the OS find the
drive.

I will reScan in Disk Management. I didn't see the reScan
tool from the right click. I appreciate all help.
Thank you and happy holidays.

Did you formt your hard disk drive?
what looks like in Disk Manager?
(Start > Control panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management)

If you didn't create Partiton and didn't formt yet,
you can do that here.
