Missing Gigs

Well, I'm not computer litterate but I have reformatted and restored m
hard drive a couple of times. I have a 40 gig, and I recentl
reformatted it, but instead of 40 gigs, or 38 gigs after my system wa
installed, I am now running with only 2 gigs!! What happened with th
other 38 (36) gigs?

it looks like you must have used fdisk and not enabled large drive support

there is no need to use fdisk ...just boot off your XP cd
and delete everything
then pt to use the whole drive next time
(or divide it up as you see fit)
