In trying to install a home network so I can share a printer the instructions
tell me to click on "My Network Places". It is not on my desktop or found
via the search function for all files and folders. Can anyone offer any
suggestions?

Go to the Display applet in Control Panel. Click on the Desktop tab and
then the Customize button. You'll see where you can add My Network
Places to your Desktop. Apply and OK out.

Click on Start, then right click the top of the start menu by your user
name. Click properties. Then click the Customize button, then the Advanced
tab. Scroll about half way down the list and put a check mark next to My
Network Places.

It should then appear in your start menu.

HTH,
