When I upgraded from Windows 98 to XP I lost all of my
Favorites in Explorer. How do I get these back ?

I don't know, but never EVER trust an upgrade process. Anything important
should've been backed up to some other place, like CD, tape, another
computer, even floppy disks. This should be done at least weekly, and daily
if the computer is used to produce income.

Your Favorites are stored on the hard disk, and there's nothing in the
upgrade process that should affect them.

Click Start | Search and look for a folder named "Favorites". The
Favorites for your XP account should be in a folder named:

C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>

If you find another Favorites folder that contains the actual
Favorites, copy that folder to the folder I listed above.
