I upgraded to Windows XP (from 98) about 2 months ago. I
am no longer able to access my CD and DVD drives (E: and
F:). I cannot even locate these drives in My Computer or
Windows Explorer. When I insert a CD, the drive sounds
like it's starting, but never plays. I can access my
floppy drive (A:) and my 2 hard drives (C: and D:). I
just cannot find or operate the others. Any help is
greatly appreciated!!!

I am not sure. I am fairly computer literate but unsure
where to find that information.

When the computer is first starting up, you need a keypress to access the
BIOS.... it's often the Del key, but each motherboard varies, so you should
look at your PC manual to find out which keypress is used for your
motherboard. I've seen different F keys as well such as F1, F2 and even
F10.
