Missing Disk Drive - any more ideas out there ?

Hi - thanks for that..... I tried it, but all options in that menu are greyed
out except "delete partition"..... ! I'm baffled - the disk is there but I
don't seem to be able to get at it....... any more clues ?

have you set the jumpers on the disc to slave
I insatalled a new disc as master put the original in as slave and got
the same symtems as i had forgot to change the jumpers to slave
also have you set both discs to auto in the bios
