Missing Devices

In trying to get my printer online and trying to get my sounds back after
downloading Mozilla, I have discovered that there are no devices in the
hardware tab in "My Computer" Where have they gone? Can I get them back?
Will this fix my computer?

Are there any ??? question marks under Hardware Device Manager, this means
that they somehow got uninstalled or perhaps a driver needs to be updated for
both your audio and printer hardware. Check Device Manager and see if they
appear....
If none of they arent there, then you'll need to reinstall your audio
drivers and print drivers for you to be able to hear your sound ang have your
printer online once again.

We saw a rash of empty Device Managers in the last few weeks. It was
caused by the Apropos malware. This fixed seemed to work for most
people:
