Missing Desktop icons

Just upgraded to XP Home from ME. Everything went well
but all the desktop icons are gone. If I save something
to the desktop it never shows up. If I right click the
task-bar and check desktop I get a tab that will show the
desktop items in a list but that's not what I want. HELP.

Right click on the Desktop, choose Properties, Desktop
Click to expand...
tab and click on "Customize Desktop". Internet Explorer,
My Computer, My Documents and My Network Places can be
added or removed here.

If all of your desktop icons are missing, right click on
the Desktop, select Arrange Icons By, then select Show
Desktop Icons.
