Problem: my contacts don't load come up when searched for with contact
search box at the top of the screen thats in the "standard" tool bar.
Also, when sending an email, contact list is empty, although have many
contacts in my file...

Running: Outlook 2002. WinXP. Use Outlook primarily offline and synch
regularly to MS Exchange server.

This is on new PC..Had just set up Outllok on it. Since was at home
and not connected to our network/server, I set up my personal email
accounts 1st (pop3). THEN when arrived at work, set up exchange server
email account....

THEN was asked, I believe, whether I wanted to setup as mailbox, and
have things setnt there, so could still keep info on the
server.....since this had worked fine before, decided to set up this
way....Cannot remember for sure if I did this offline or on the
server....then synched...

When set this up, noted there seemed to be duplication of my files. eg
had contacts, tasks, calendar both in personal folder AND in
mailbox...since in the past I recalled it being setup in mailbox
function, decided to keep it that way, and "CLOSED the personal
folders"........

Any ideas on what I can do now....??

I searched for pst files, found none..

Thanks in advance for your help...

If you have Contacts in the Contacts folder but they are not accessible when
you click on the To button, check these settings:

Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right
click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is
the box to enable as email address book is checked?

If this is grayed out...

Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change existing directories or
address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add
it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close
then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it.
