After discovering that I have a non compliant ACPI BIOS, I changed the
selection under "computer" in Device Manager to "Basic Computer". This was
on the advice of the mobo manufacturer. The next time I rebooted, XP
re-identified all of my devices and re-installed them. If I go to "Network
Connections" in Control Panel my 2 NIC's have been identified as "Local Area
Connection 3 and 4", and XP has installed some sort of default addresses,
subnet mask etc. The info I need was originally in "Local Area Connection 1
and 2", which seems to be stored somewhere, I just can't find it.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
