Missing command

On my portable (running XP), I have lost the "file" command in my MS Word
(2002) top command line. The line starts with "edit." Rebooting does not
help. The MS Word files are ok on a different computer.

What going on and how do I fix it?

View>Toolbars>Customize
Toolbars (Tab)
Click on the WORDS 'Menu Bar' to select (Leave it CHECKED)
Click 'Reset' (button)
Close
