Suzie missing audio files

'looking at the audio files there are none. I want to restore. Don't know how
they got lost. Win XP

files are you referring to and where are they
missing from?

Are you a blonde?
 
looking in Device mgr. sounds etc. there are 2 areas that have nothing in
their properties. Legacy multimedia device and legacy video capture the
others (5) alll have properties in them. The light does not come on on my
speakers. New speakers and it is plugges into the back properly. I have a
little computer savey. I took the win XP original CD and tried to restore
from that but I can't
Any help will be appreciated.
