Misdirected homepage pointer?

When I try to access my companies webpage through our lan, it goes to an old,
outdated page. I can access the current page from a computer outside the
lan, ie, my home computer. Is there some kind of pointer (not sure of
phrasing) that keeps directing me to the old page that I can change?

Search for a file called "hosts", and remove the offending line with a text
editor.
