Minor Irritant with IE6

When I select a URL for a web site, many times progress stops on the way
there and presents an essentially blank page with an "auto refresh" link in
the upper left corner. When I click on that, activity restarts to bring up
the desired web page. This situation started only after I reformatted and
did a clean install of xp home. Any suggestions?

Are you using a third party application like Add/subract or some other
filtering program?
 
Yes, I use adsubtract, adaware and and zone alarm. However I was using them
before this problem started.
