Guys,

I have a question, right now I have a windows 2000 server
configured as DC, also has exchange installed on it.
I recently bought a new server and want to move
everything from this win 2000 server to this new box.

I have installed win 2003 on this new server also I want
to install exchange 2003 on this server.

what would be the best option to move from old 2000 box
to this new 2003 box.

thanks

TC

Hello TC, You are sure you want to do an migration and not just add this new
DC as an replica and move master operation roles, install exchange move
mailboxes and keep the current AD, and then demote the current DC or may
keep it. How ever if you want to migrate you may want to restructure the
Active Directory. You can use the tool ADMT you will find more information
below.

from Windows 2000 to Windows Server 2003
This article describes how to set up the Active Directory Migration Tool
(ADMT) to migrate from a Windows 2000-based domain to a Windows Server
2003-based domain.
