I am moving from an old 933 Oentium to 2.66 Pentium machine. Both machines are
running XP Pro. What I would like to transport My favorites from IE, my address book
from Outlook, and my emails. How do I do this maneuver? I am networked .
Thanks

A few ways, the easiest by far would be to use 'Files and Settings Transfer'
Wizard [FAST] on the old PC to create a 'unique' file that can be imported
into the new PC.

During the setup of this, you can choose to create a new folder on any
number of drives, network or external such as ZIP or HDD.

Work through this step by step and at the appropriate step select only those
items you wish to import to the new computer. You can take ALL your
documents, internet access, internet favourites, email etc across: or only
those items you desire.

Once created, run [FAST] on the new PC and import the file.

Everything will be as it was on the old PC.

Hi Kristy,

As BAR adviced. In addition, you may want to have a look at this F.A.S.T
guide at AumHa.org - Windows Support Center:
ttp://www.aumha.org/win5/a/fast.php. Note that F.A.S.T image is prone to
corruption, especially if the backup size is huge. Some users have reported
that the F.A.S.T image is not recognized by the Wizard while importing it
from the new system. Therefore it's advisable to have a copy of the data in
the hard drive as it is. You can delete the data (if you want) only after
you successfully export the settings to the other system. If all is set, you
may delete the data in the source hard drive.
