ill be finished building my new comp in a couple of weeks. I have xp pro to
install (as my current has the oem version). I basically want what i
currently have transfered to my new comp. preferably without having to set
it all up manually. will the setting transfer wizard thing cope with xp to
xp? how far will it get me? as in, will it do network settings, user
profiles, program migration? any better way to do it?
thanks.phil

It will move your files and settings in general and in reference to Windows
XP itself ONLY. Your programs will have to be INSTALLED on the new system
manually. Network settings, unless you bought the exact same parts for this
new computer, will be different and need to be manually set as well.

Personally - I prefer to setup clean and make it look like I want. I often
find things I had been dealing with "easier" to get rid of in the beginning
and learn a lot more doing all of that myself.. Sure.. It can take a month
to get it the way you want it - but it will be cleaner and have nothing
"leftover" from your old system.
