I have a Word form that I have created for users to enter information. The
distribution was quite large. Well, after some feedback I have some form
fields that need to have their formulas updated.

What is the best way to update the older forms with the new version
preserving data that was previously entered?

I doubt there's going to be any easy way; it will certainly require a macro,
at the very least. And what the macro needs to do will depend on how the form
is designed (starting with which toolbar you used to insert the form
controls).

Basically, you probably need to have a tool in the new form to open an older
form and bring the data into the new one.
