Migrate in mixed mode enviroment from NT4 to Active Directory win2k

How can I migrate with admt in mixed mode environment, it keeps telling me
target domain is not in native mode, we cannot go native we still running
mixed mode environment is there a way around it?

AFAIK native mode is needed for several reasons. One of them is sIDHistroy
attribute, which is not available in mixed mode. Don't think that there is a
way around than going into native mode.
