midi to wav

Is it possible to convert midi files to wav files and if
so, what special software/hardware, if any, do I need.
 
Midi is not music until it has been converted through a
synthesizer.

Start>Contro Panel>Sound and Audio Devices>Audio Tab.
You should see MIDI music playback. Follow through until
you get the music to play on you computer speakers.

You can convert to *.Wav format by Using the Sound
Recorder: Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainmnet>Sound
Recorder. If you start playing the MIDI and also start
recording, when you Save, it will be in *.WAV format.
The Sound Recorder can open and load the Saved file and
play it.
