Get occasional latency/dropuots when running my MIDI keyboard from Vista.
Never had this problem with XP. Any ideas?

wdk,

Without knowing anything about your MIDI hardware, or connection, or
configuration, or drivers, I can say that Microsoft has announced that they
have removed support for these types of devices (MIDI and game port) in favor
of USB connected devices. That doesn't mean that you can't obtain some
MIDI/game port support from a vendor, or that you aren't using a USB device.
I just don't know. In case you are using some such device, the drivers must
be Vista compatible. A vendor can make anything to work with Vista, if he is
so inclined. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I have a midi to usb interface, but it doesn't look like it has a Vista
driver. Looking at a different device, also some different sequencing
software from Cakewalk.

Thanks for responding.
