Hi, thanks for helping.

Ok recently i've been having some problems with my antivirus software and I
think that this temporarily mucked around with MS Word. Now then, I've got my
antivirus problem sorted but in a fit of stupidity my dad uninstalled and
reinstalled MS Word. I know this is normal practice for most program
problems, but he didnt think of the CD key. Now when I try to use Word it
opens and then asks me to register it - with CD Key. Now I've had this
version of word for ages (on my old Win 98) and all the disks for MS Works
Suite and all that are just in these white sleaves with notbhing on the back.
Is there some way I can register them without this or that i can prove to
Microsoft that these are mine?

Any help would be amazing.

Not without the CD's Product Key, or other proof of purchase, such as a
receipt or invoice, no.

You will need to locate the key.
It should be on an sticker affixed to the envelope.
Some of my earlier versions have all the CDs in a larger yellow envelope
with the Product Key affixed to the envelope.
That describes OEM.

If you still can not locate the key:
OEM, contact the seller.
Retail, contact Microsoft:

Otherwise it may be time to upgrade.

Look for a cd key for your program on google. You will find one that
works. I am believing you that the MsWord program is yours and is legal.
