Microsoft works problem

Microsoft Works which was installed on my XP has a problem. I can only go so far in creating a letterhead when I get a message that states "Task Wizard cannot continue, close other groups, run set-up and reinstall. " Since I did not do the initial installation I wonder how to do that without losing all put on since May of 2003 when I got it? I can't seem to figure out how to find the Task Wizard. I would appreciate any help. Please be explicit.
 
Haven't you backed up your files since "MAY 2003"?
If not you can, may, SHOULD , could, lose them.
Put in the Microsoft Works CD and click on install.
