I am writing a paper on Microsoft Works and the message box pops up and says
it has enountered a problem and must shut down and that I will lose all of my
unsaved work. Unfortunately, the entire paper is unsaved. I have not closed
Works and the paper is still up. However, I cannot copy or paste, and the
message box has left a large gaping gap in my text, so I cannot read a large
portion of the paper to retype it in another window. Is there anything I
can do to avoid losing my work?

I"ve been in the same situation. Often, closing down background apps
then allows me to at least copy and paste and save to another app.

Kindly post in the specific newsgroup:-
